GSV-A

Vinylester Conductive Tooling Gelcoat

This type of gelcoat with electrical conductive properties, is produced with vinylester resins which have a high resistance to chemical agents and excellent mechanical properties. The use of the GSV-A tooling gelcoat is particularly recommended for the production of high-tech moulds and artifacts. The innovation is a gelcoat electrically conductive by carbon nanotubes, which minimizes dust adhesion, reduces demoulding problems and protects people and material from electrical shocks.
When properly grounded, static electricity can be dissipated due to its conductive properties. The mould must not be put into service before the gelcoat has reached a hardness index of at least 35 barcol. The minimum temperature during treatment and after treatment should be at least 18°C.
GSV-A might appear thick, almost as a gel consistency, when the pail is opened.
By stirring, the thixotropy will reach the values corresponding to the product data sheet.
